Prozan Bodega & Viñedos is the accomplishment of a dream of three friends, Sergio Vallejo, Claudio Videla and Martín Fuentes, to make highquality wines based on the unique characteristics of Mendoza’s best areas.

“Our philosophy is to enhance the best of Mendoza’s different terroirs, by committing to quality and caring about it in each step, respecting nature and each terroir’s characteristics”.

Our winery and some of our vineyards are in Finca La Juanita, 40 Km
from Mendoza City, an estate with plenty of history and passion, just like our wines. Located in Tres Porteñas District, the legend tells that Finca La Juanita belonged to one of the three founders of the district.

It is said that this land was originally inhabited by the tribe led by Zayanca chief. After colonization, the land had different owners until three women from Buenos Aires, (Tres Porteñas), bought it and founded La Mangocha, Villa Susana and La Juanita estates. (The term porteña is the feminine Spanish word to refer to a person from Buenos Aires.)

Our grapes are grown in the best areas of Mendoza to produce a unique blend.

Our vineyards in Tupungato, 1,200 m above sea level, have the ideal microclimate for late grape ripening, resulting in wines with intense color and structure, powerful tannins and conservation of natural acidity. The broad temperature range between day and night typical of this area enables us to make wines with high levels of polyphenols and great storage and ageing potential.

From Tres Porteñas’ terroir in San Martin District, with soil from eolic or fluvial origin, mainly composed of sand, silt and clay, and with mild temperature, we obtain fruity and aromatic wines.

The grape varieties we grow are Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Bonarda, Tempranillo, Ancellotta, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc.


Finca La Juanita was founded in 1940. It keeps its original facade at present. The winery is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, which enables us to maintain the quality of our grapes. We have stainless steel tanks and concrete-epoxy-coated vats so as to benefit from the characteristics of the different fermentation methods.

Our production capacity is around 1,000,000 liters.
